Dr. Arthur Ghitea

 Dr. Ghitea graduated from the University of California, Riverside in 1995 and then from veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001.  He purchased the clinic in 2006.  Arthur, his wife and daughter share their home with a Yorkie named Gucci.  In his free time, he enjoys skiing, fly fishing and riding his motorcycle.

Dr. Lynn Bertelsen

 Dr. Bertelsen, founder of the practice, is a 1970 graduate of the University of California, Davis.  He was born and raised in Eugene and has practiced in Tualatin since 1973.  He resides in Lake Oswego with his wife Marabee, dogs Bella, Joey, Blue and a cat named Mike.  He enjoys traveling, bicycling and playing golf.

Dr. Danielle Hughson

Dr. Hughson attributes her interest in veterinary medicine to growing up on a pig farm in NE Iowa.  She attended Iowa State for an undergraduate degree in Animal Science and then moved to Massachusetts to receive her veterinary education at Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine.  She moved to Oregon four years ago, worked at a mixed animal practice for two years and now concentrates on small animal medicine.  Her hobbies include photography, hiking, running and baking.

Sharon-Office Manager

Sharon has lived all over the country but  always comes back to Oregon.  She has worked at the clinic, between transfers, for the last 15 years.  She lives in Woodburn with her husband, 3 dogs, 2 cats, a parakeet and 4 goldfish.  She has 2 grown children and 1 grand daughter.  Sharon enjoys gardening, home brewing and numerous crafts.

Sarah-Licensed Veterinary Technician

Sarah is a native Oregonian.  She has worked at the clinic since 2000 and became a licensed veterinary technician in 2004.  In addition to working  for the clinic she is the owner and operator of a boarding kennel, Exclusively Cats.  Along with her husband Joel they are parents to 3 dogs (Elliott, Rukus, Rumba) and 3 cats ( Simi, Brother, Sissy).  Her hobbies include hiking, bicycling and traveling.

Kevin-Licensed Veterinary Technician

Kevin has been a licensed veterinary technician for 13 years and has been with the clinic for 5 years.  He enjoys working with owners who have pets with behavioral problems and internal medicine cases.  When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 kids, surfing the Oregon Coast, cycling, swimming and competing in Triathlons.

Dawn-Veterinary Technician

Dawn has been a part of the clinic team since 2000.  She shares her Portland home with her husband, son and daughter, Great Dane and two cats.  She enjoys cooking and baking and spending time outdoors with her family.  One of her favorite aspects of working at the clinic has been getting to know the patients as well as their families.  She has seen a lot of puppies, kittens and children grow up in her time at the clinic.

Mike-Veterinary Assistant

Mike has been with the clinic for 2 years.  In his time away from the clinic he stays active with basketball and personal training and spends time with his English Bulldog "Chunk" and Miniature Schnauzer "Bella". 

Andrea- Veterinary Assistant

Andrea is the newest member of our team.  She has a Toy Poodle named Sydney.  When Andrea is not at work or school, she enjoys camping throughout Oregon.  She also spent time in South Africa volunteering with primate rehabilitation and conservation.  Eventually she wants to become a veterinarian and return to South Africa.
