I want to thank each and every one of you for all of the care and concern that you gave to us over the past many years.  We started coming to your clinic in about 1987?? and have been coming every since.  With this new page in our lives, we won't be seeing you soon, if ever again.

Dr. Art, you have been a gem in helping to keep Bing comfortable without making him endure the scary trips to your office.  Your guidance with his meds and his care kept him going at least a year and a half beyond when I thought we were losing him.  You have been a good friend and caring mentor.

Dawn, you were always so empathetic and encouraging with all of my visits.  I wanted to just hug you many times for your thoughtful and caring words.  And at times I've wanted to encourage you.

Sarah, you had fantastic advice and were continually giving me hints on how to make Bing more comfortable.  You also steered me toward Atlas or Titan or whatever his name was (Hercules?) whose photo was on our fridge for months.  But we resisted.

Sharon, Mike and Kevin (my gosh, I hope I haven't forgotten someone!), you took our phone calls constantly and always jumped to make sure that everything was right.  It was so calming to know I could just call and say my name, and someone would take care of whatever it was.

Dr. Hughson,  I can't imagine being more comfortable on a first visit.  You took care of our Sally when we were terrified, and made us confident that you had all of our best interests at heart.

And Dr. Bertelsen, you performed the ultimate kindness, although it was one of the hardest moments of my life.  With you and Sarah there, I felt that we were doing the only thing we could do, given the situation with Bing.  I have to tell you that he was possibly the most loved dog that ever lived, and it killed me to let him go.

So I must recount to you that you have cared for our dog Bogie, who died at 21; Boots, Titten, Whitey, BW, Koshka, Eva, Sally, Spotty and Bing.  Mostly strays and relinquished animals, who became the light of our lives.  Without you and Dr. Ann, who we still miss, it would not have been possible.

Thank all of you for helping our family.  We won't every forget you.
